1. Acceptance of Terms
By using AnimBox, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. Description of Service
AnimBox is free, browser-based 3D software for modeling, rigging, and retargeting. All processing happens locally in your browser.
3. User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the 3D content you create or import
- Don't use AnimBox for illegal purposes
- Don't attempt to hack or disrupt the service
4. Intellectual Property & Ownership of Your Work
Your work is completely yours. Any code or assets you create or generate in AnimBox — models, rigs, skeletons, animations, materials, scripts, and anything else you make — are owned entirely by you. You can use them however you like, personal or commercial, with no royalties or revenue share owed to us.
There is one simple rule: assets created in AnimBox may not be used to train AI (see AI Training Restrictions below). The AnimBox application itself and its branding remain ours, but that does not affect your ownership of anything you create with it.
5. AI Training Restrictions
This is our one firm rule, and it covers all assets created in AnimBox — including, specifically, animations, rigs, skeletons, and models, as well as motion data, materials, and any other content you make or export, and any assets AnimBox itself provides.
- No AI training: you may NOT use any asset created in or exported from AnimBox (animations, rigs, skeletons, models, or any other asset) to train, fine-tune, or develop artificial intelligence, machine-learning models, or any derivative AI systems.
- This applies to your own creations and to AnimBox-provided assets alike, whether the use is commercial or non-commercial.
- Violating this restriction ends your license to use AnimBox.
6. Commercial Use
AnimBox is free for any level of use — hobbyist, student, freelancer, indie developer, studio, or enterprise alike. Use it for projects at any scale, commercial or personal.
You own the assets you create, and you are free to use, sell, and ship them with no royalties or revenue share owed to AnimBox. The only restriction on your assets is the AI-training rule above.
7. Advertising & Ad-Free Access
AnimBox is free and supported by advertising. We display ads in the editor through Google AdSense. By using AnimBox you agree that ads may be shown to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
An ad-free experience can be earned — for example by reporting and helping us fix bugs through our bug-bounty program, or through donations and community contributions. These grant ad-free credits that remove ads for a period of time. Benefits are provided as-is and may change.
8. Disclaimer
AnimBox is provided "as is" without warranty. We're not responsible for any data loss or issues arising from use of the service.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
